Thanksgiving!

During the wonderful Thanksgiving break that we got to have, we had a wonderful feast and got to spend a lot of time with family and friends, and I am so thankful that I got the chance to be able to do that. On Wednesday, both of my grandparents came to our home from South Korea, from a fifteen to sixteen hour flight, and are going to stay here in our home with us until either the beginning of January, or the end of December. On Thursday (Thanksgiving), we invited my cousin’s family over to eat with us for Thanksgiving, and we had such a big variety of delicious food, that I am so thankful to be able to eat, and be gathered with my family that day. After and before dinner, my cousins, my brother, and I all got to play together and enjoy our time together before my older cousin leaves to go to college next year. The parents also all got to have fun talking to each other, and I’m so glad we all enjoyed that day, and even have a day to gather around all together. I can’t wait for next year’s Thanksgiving!!

#GRA21

In the book, “The Barren Grounds”, Morgan, a thirteen year old girl, and Eli, a twelve year old boy are both stepsiblings and live together with their parents, James (their dad) and Katie (their mom). Morgan’s personality is a bit rough, and Eli is very quiet, and they both are fostered, and this is Eli’s first home. This is Morgan’s eighth home, because she had ran away from the other homes because she just didn’t like them, or other times, they had kicked her out. In conclusion, I think this book has been pretty good so far, and I can’t wait to finish the rest of the book!

About Me

Hello! I’m Ellen, it’s so nice to see that you want to read about me! Well, first of all, I’m in sixth grade and am twelve years old. I have an older brother too, his name is Brandon and he’s in eighth grade. I have two parents, and they were both born in Korea, meanwhile my brother and I were born in Houston, Texas. My parents own a ramen restaurant together, called “Ramen Hakata” they’re successful, and I’m very grateful for them and the rest of my family. I like doing art and cheer. I used to do the piano and flute too, but I wasn’t enjoying it very much. I was also very busy. My favorite subject is probably theology or science, I just feel like the teachers make it way more fun. I’m so excited to continue on with the school year and keep learning new things. I want to accomplish new goals as well along the school year that I have made for myself to become a better me. I hope you learned a little bit more about me by reading this paragraph, goodbye!
